Requirements for Prospective Underground Contractors

Diablo Water District's policy for underground contractors performing work on our water distribution system or any of our property is as follows:

• Contractors must be licensed and approved by the District's Engineer. An Application for Prospective Underground Contractors must be completed and submitted for review. All associated costs will be at the expense of the applicant.
  • If approved, Contractors will need to provide certificates of insurance naming Diablo Water District and CDM Smith (District's Engineer) as additional insured parties in addition to any other requirements listed in the Facilities Installation Agreement. • District work must be performed in accordance with the Engineering and Design Requirements (District Standards & Specs). Printed copies are available from the District for a fee.
